4 Reasons you should be strength training

Do you feel strong and powerful in your body?

While a sculpted bod looks great, the benefits of strength training don’t end there (far from it, actually.)

Here are some of the ways you can benefit from strength training..

1. Strength training builds and maintains muscle

Strength training relies on you lifting increasingly larger amounts of weight, which signals your muscles to adapt and grow bigger. If you want to look and feel strong and sexy, strength training is the way to go.

2. Strength training makes your joints stronger

Since most strength training exercises are low-impact, you can build muscle strength and endurance with less stress on the joints and actually strengthen your joints at the same time.

3. Strength training supports weight loss and weight management

Lifting weights helps you to burn calories more efficiently and is a great way to increase your lean muscle mass. This helps your body burn off more of the fuel you consume from food every day rather than store it as excess energy in the form of fat cells. If you’re trying to lose fat but gain muscle at the same time, this is vital!

4. Strength training improves your mood

As well as the physical benefits of strength training, there are legit mental health perks too. Some studies have found that people who performed resistance training showed a significant reduction in symptoms of depression.

It also makes you feel amazing at the moment, too.

When you accomplish a strength training workout, you feel empowered and like a badass. It can transform your entire outlook on fitness and make you feel strong enough to handle anything the world throws at you.
